Hi, I’m Morgan
I’m a CPDT-KA certified, force-free dog trainer based in San Diego. I’ve spent my entire career working with dogs — from veterinary hospitals and dog walking to pet retail and professional training — and training is where I found the greatest opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
I specialize in puppies, rescue dogs, and anxious or reactive dogs, and I work with people who genuinely care about their dog’s emotional wellbeing and long-term success.
How I Think About Training
Behavior is communication.
When a dog is struggling, they aren’t being difficult or defiant. They’re responding to their environment, their history, or how they’re feeling in that moment. Majority of “misbehaving” dogs are really just communicating. My role is to act as a translator between dog body language & behavior to human verbal cues and expectations. You and your dog will not be successful if you’re not even speaking the same language.
Every dog is different, and every training plan should be, too.
My Approach
01 Force-Free & Science-Based
I follow Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) principles and use positive reinforcement along with other forms of operant conditioning to teach skills without fear or intimidation.
02 Customized to Your Dog
No two dogs are the same, and no two training plans should be the same. Training plans are built around your dog’s personality, needs, and your real life.
03 Real-World Focused
Dogs live in the real world, so that’s where we train. I believe in a well-rounded approach where skills are practiced in everyday environments, so your dog is well-behaved wherever life takes you.
04 Education-Driven
My training approach is deeply rooted animal behavior and psychology. It’s my job to give you the necessary skills and knowledge to support your dog for the rest of their life.
Let’s Work Together!
You don’t have to have all the answers. That’s what I’m here for.
Making the decision to begin dog training isn’t easy, but I promise once you take that leap you won’t regret it.
Why Certification Matters
Your dog’s safety & well-being is my #1 priority
Dog training isn’t a regulated industry. I chose to earn the CPDT-KA certification, a nationally recognized credential for professional dog trainers, and I continue my education to ensure my methods are ethical, effective, and up-to-date. I encourage you to do your research and find a trainer with a credible certification. Anyone can claim they’re a dog trainer and without proper qualifications can do serious harm.
